MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com - Minneapolis, MN – The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have recalled righthanded pitcher Bobby Korecky from Triple-A Rochester. Korecky, 28, was 2-1, 0.68 (13.1 ip, 1 er) with five saves, four walks and 12 strikeouts in 10 appearances for the Red Wings this season. In 2007, he recorded 35 saves, setting a Rochester record and finished second among all minor leaguers in saves. Korecky will wear uniform number 41.

To make room for Korecky on the 25-man roster, the Twins have optioned lefthanded pitcher Francisco Liriano to Triple-A Rochester. In three starts with the Twins this season, Liriano is 0-3, 11.32 (10.1 ip, 13 er), allowing 15 hits with 13 walks and seven strikeouts.
