Baltimore Orioles Promote LHP Garrett Olson, RHP Bob McCrory from Triple-A Norfolk Tides

MLN - THE RAW FEED - www.mlntherawfeed.com - BALTIMORE - The Orioles today announced that they have recalled LHP GARRETT OLSON and RHP BOB McCRORY from Triple-A Norfolk. To make room for Olson and McCrory on the 25-man roster, INF BRANDON FAHEY has been optioned to Norfolk and RHP GREG AQUINO has been designated for assignment.
 
Olson, 24, was 1-1 with a 1.85 ERA (24.1IP, 22H, 5ER, 11BB, 25K) in five starts at MLNGirlsFeb2008_Lisa.jpg

Norfolk this season. He is 1-3 with a 7.79 ERA (32.1IP, 28ER) in seven career major league starts, all of which came in 2007. Olson was the Orioles’ 2nd selection (sandwich pick between the 1st and 2nd rounds) in the 2005 First Year Player Draft.
 
McCrory, 25, was 0-2 with a 1.80 ERA (10.0IP, 9H, 2ER, 5BB, 6K) and four saves in nine games for the Tides. Originally selected by the Orioles in the 4th round of the 2003 First Year Player Draft, he was 9-10 with a 2.88 ERA (171.2IP, 55ER) in 89 games over four minor league seasons entering 2008.
 
Fahey batted .200 (5-25) with 1 RBI in 15 games for the Orioles this year. Aquino went 0-0 with a 14.21 ERA (6.1IP, 11H, 10ER, 7BB, 6K) in six appearances for Baltimore.  T
