Jordan Brown of AAA Buffalo Bisons Placed on Disabled List and Michael Aubrey Promoted to AA Akron

MLN - THE RAW FEED - www.mlntherawfeed.com – Buffalo - The Buffalo Bisons today placed INF Jordan Brown on the disabled list with a left knee injury. To fill his spot on the roster, INF Michael Aubrey has been promoted from Double-A Akron.

            Aubrey, 26, was the Cleveland Indians’ 1st round draft pick (11th overall) in the 2003 First-Year Player Draft. He hit .277 (28-101) with two homeruns and 16RBI in 24 games with Akron (13R, 9 2B, 1 3B, 8BB). He also hit in 22 of the 24 games he played with the Aeros. This is Aubrey’s first stint at the Triple-A level.

            Aubrey entered 2008 a career .301 (273-906) hitter in 243 minor league games with 39 homeruns and 178RBI. In 2004, he was a Carolina League All-Star while hitting .339 with 10 homeruns and 60RBI in 60 games with the Single-A Kinston Indians and manager Torey Lovullo

            Brown hit .271(26-96) with 10RBI and 15 runs scored in the first 25 games of the season. His 11 doubles are two more than any other hitter in the International League. Brown also leads the Bisons in runs scored and is second with 26 hits.
