Brian Slocum Optioned From Cleveland Indians to Buffalo Bisons

MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com - Buffalo, NY - The Cleveland Indians today announced the club has purchased the contract of RHP Matt Ginter from the Bisons. To clear room on the 25-man roster, the Indians optioned RHP Brian Slocum to the Herd.
Ginter has gone 6-6 with a 4.14ERA in 18 games with the Bisons (100.0IP, 109H, 46ER, 32BB, 65K. Since May 1 he has gone 6-2 with a 3.05ERA in 13 starts (76.2IP, 76H, 26ER,4HR) and leads the Bisons in starts, innings, wins and strikeouts.
Slocum has pitched in 18 games with the Bisons this year with a 3-5 record and a 4.62ERA (62.1IP, 59H, 35R, 32ER, 33BB, 55K). He was moved into the Herd bullpen on June 12 and is 0-1 with a 0.69ERA and one save as a reliever with Buffalo this season (13.0IP, 8H, 1R, 1ER, 3BB, 10K). He was recalled to Cleveland on July 4 and pitched in two games with the Indians (2.0IP, 8H, 6R, 6ER, 1K).
