Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim Option RHP Dustin Mosely to Salt Lake Bees
Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at 06:57PM MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com – SALT LAKE CITY (July 14, 2008) – The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim announced today that the club has optioned right-handed pitcher Dustin Moseley to triple-A Salt Lake and placed right-handed pitcher Jason Bulger on the disabled list with right shoulder tendinitis. Right-handed pitcher Shane Loux has also been activated from the disabled list and is scheduled to start tonight.
Moseley, 26, started yesterday for the Angels and pitched 5.1 innings allowing four hits and two runs with four strike outs. In eight games for the Angels this season, he is 1-3 with a 7.15 ERA. Moseley has appeared in 11 games for the Bees in 2008, owning a 5-5 record with a 5.88 ERA and 51 strikeouts. Moseley joined the Angels in a trade from the Cincinnati Reds on December 14, 2004.
Bulger, 29, has appeared in 22 games for the Bees this season, owning a 2-0 record and a team-low 0.64 ERA with 10 saves. He began the 2008 season with the Angels, registering a 7.94 ERA in five games. The Lawrenceville, Ga. native joined the Angels in a trade from the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2006.
Loux, 28, was placed on the disabled list on July 7 with left hip inflammation. He has appeared in 18 games for the Bees in 2008, owning a team-best 10-4 record with a 4.25 ERA.
