Frank Herrmann Sent to Double-A Akron Aeros

MLN - THE RAW FEED - www.mlntherawfeed.com - MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com - Akron, Oh -The Aeros made a roster move today, receiving RHP Frank Herrmann from Class AAA Buffalo and transferring OF Ryan Goleski to Class A Kinston.

 

Herrmann (8-3, 5.04 ERA) will start in game one of Akron’s doubleheader in Altoona tonight. He has not pitched for the Aeros since June 30th, making consecutive spot-starts for Buffalo July 5th and July 10th. Herrmann lost both of his starts with the Bisons, despite allowing just three runs (two earned) in 13.0 innings and striking out a career-high 10 against Louisville on July 10th.

 

Goleski had appeared in 74 games for the Aeros this season, hitting .241 with eight home runs and 24 RBI. The native of Warren, MI had 24 of his 63 hits (38%) go for extra-bases. He last played for Kinston in 2006, hitting .331 with 10 homers and 43 RBI in 38 games to open the year.
