Los Angeles Angels Activate RHP Jason Bulger, Catcher Tim Duff and Reassign Two Players to Minors

SALT LAKE CITY – The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim announced today that the club has activated right-handed pitcher Jason Bulger from the disabled list and activated catcher Tim Duff from the temporary inactive list. Left-handed pitcher Daniel Davidson has also been reassigned to Double-A Arkansas and catcher Alberto Rosario has been reassigned to Single-A Rancho Cucamonga.
Bulger, 29, was placed on the disabled list on July 14 with right shoulder tendinitis. He has appeared in 24 games for the Bees this season, owning a 2-0 record and a team-low 0.64 ERA with 10 saves. He began the 2008 season with the Angels, registering a 7.94 ERA in five games. The Lawrenceville, Ga. native joined the Angels in a trade from the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2006.
Duff, 26, was placed on the temporary inactive list after his wife gave birth to a baby daughter on July 17. He has appeared in 22 games for the Bees in 2008, hitting .232 with three doubles and three RBI. In 30 games for the Travelers this season, he hit .242 with three doubles, two home runs and 12 RBI. The Coatesville, Pa. native signed with the Angels as a nondrafted free agent in 2004.

Davidson, 27, has appeared in four games for the Bees in 2008, owning a 0-0 record with a 2.35 ERA in 7.2 innings pitched. In nine games for the Travelers this season, he owns a 0-0 record and 2.25 ERA in 12 innings pitched. The Panama City, Fla. native was originally selected by the Angels in the 13th round of the 2003 draft.  
Rosario, 21, has appeared in one game for the Bees in 2008, going 1-for-3 on July 19 at Fresno in his Triple-A debut. The Dominican Republic native has appeared in 31 games for the Quakes this season, hitting .202 with 11 RBI.
