Salt Lake Bees Catcher Bobby Wilson Placed on Disabled List, Catcher Tim Duff Promoted from Arkansas Travelers

MLN - THE RAW FEED - www.mlntherawfeed.com - SALT LAKE CITY (July 6, 2008) – The Salt Lake Bees announced today that catcher Bobby Wilson has been placed on the disabled list with a right thumb fracture and catcher Tim Duff has been promoted to Salt Lake from Double-A Arkansas.
 
Wilson, 25, has appeared in 52 games for the Bees in 2008, hitting .310 with 13 doubles, one home run and 28 RBI. He made his major league debut with the Angels on April 28, recording his first hit, a single, in his first at bat against the Oakland Athletics. The Dunedin, Fla. native was originally selected by the Angels in the 48th round of the 2002 draft.
 
Duff, 26, appeared in 17 games for the Bees in 2008, hitting .231 with three doubles

and three RBI. He has appeared in 30 games for the Travelers this season, hitting .242 with three doubles, two home runs and 12 RBI. The Coatesville, Pa. native signed with the Angels as a nondrafted free agent in 2004.
