Ambiroix Suero (Orioles) and Damian Taveras (Yankees) Test Positive, Get 50 Game Suspension

MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com - 12.22.08 - The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that two Minor League players, pitcher Ambiorix Suero of the Baltimore Orioles organization and catcher Damian Taveras of the New York Yankees organization, have received 50-game suspensions after each tested positive for a performance-enhancing substance in violation of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program. Suero tested positive for Boldenone. Taveras tested positive for Stanozolol. Most recently both players were with their organization's Dominican Summer League teams. The suspensions of both players will be effective at the start of the 2009 season.
