MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com - LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The Los Angeles D-Fenders of the NBA Development League controlled the tempo in this afternoon’s

match-up with the Albuquerque Thunderbirds at STAPLES Center and defeated their Western Division rival 121-104.

The D-Fenders shot 58% from the field and connected on 12 of their 20 shots from beyond the arc.

Los Angeles had 6 players in double figures. Brian Chase led the way with a career high 33 points and hit 8 of his 9 three-pointers.

Guard Jordan Farmar added 20 points and 8 assists in 33 minutes.

“I am excited to get a win. We played defense as a team and did the little things to get the win,” said Farmar, on assignment from the Los Angeles Lakers.

The D-Fenders had 32 assists compared to Albuquerque’s 20. Los Angeles committed only 9 turnovers.

“It was a good win. I thought our guys played pretty good defense and we made some big buckets too,” said D-Fenders Head Coach Dan Panaggio.

Albuquerque was led by guards Julius Hodge and Brandon Robinson. Hodge led his team with 19 points and Robinson added 16 points and 8 rebounds.

This was the final regular season meeting between the two teams, with the D-Fenders tying the series 3-3. Los Angeles now sits at 22-24 (.478).
