Lewis Fadpipe and Jason Smith, Two CBA Alumnus Will Take Their Games Overseas

MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com – Minot, ND - August 24, 2007 - According to its website, the Continental Basketball Association (CBA) and its member teams "develop talent" for other leagues around the world, and that fact is proven once again with the signing of two former Skyrockets to international leagues. Rookie forward

Lewis Fadipe and guard Jason Smith will be continuing their basketball careers in international play.

Fadipe spent the summer with the USBL Albany Patroons. He played 20 games with the Patroons and averaged 4.3 ppg and 3.2 rpg. Fadipe is the first signing for the Lobos de La UAC Saltillo of the Mexico LNBP. League play starts in September and finishes with the championship game in December.

Smith will be headed overseas to Romania. He has signed on with the CSU Atlassib Sibiu of the Romanian League - Division A. The Romanian League runs from October to December. Smith played in 30 games for the Skyrockets and averaged 13.2 ppg and 6.0 rpg.

"A major part of this league has always been about developing players so they can continue their careers in larger markets, whether it is the NBA or overseas. This is a great opportunity for Lewis and Jason to continue improving their game," said Head Coach Chris Daleo.
