MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com - The arenafootball2 league office announced that the Manchester Wolves, New Hampshire's professional af2 team, has been assigned kicker Dylan Pohlman for the 2007 season.
Pohlman (5'11-170), a six-year veteran from Tabor College, will enter his second season with the Wolves after joining the team late in the year in 2006. In just eight games Pohlman was able to provide something that the previous 11 kickers in Manchester Wolves history couldn't muster, consistency, as he connected on 49-of-56 point after attempts (87%). Pohlman's consistency directly correlated to 'W's' in the win column, as the Wolves were an impressive 6-2 with him as their kicker.
"Getting Dylan back on board closes an open wound we've had here since 2004," said Wolves Head Coach Ben Bennett. "We've gone through more kickers than I care to remember before Dylan brought some consistency to the position."
During his af2 career which started in 2002, Pohlman has played for the Arkansas Twisters, Oklahoma City Yard Dawgs, Bossier Shreveport Battle Wings and the Wichita Stealth. Prior to the af2, the Burrton Kansas native, excelled as a Tabor Bluejay where he was unanimously selected as a First-Team Offense Place Kicker in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference.
"I'm looking forward to another season playing for Coach Bennett," said Dylan Pohlman. "Between the coaching staff, players, the ownership, and the fans I couldn't ask for a better place to play. We're looking forward to finishing the playoff run we started last year."
