Dallas Desperados Trade Lincoln Kennedy to Tampa Bay Storm for Future Considerations - AFL

MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com - The Dallas Desperados announced Friday a trade that sent offensive lineman Lincoln Kennedy to the Tampa Bay Storm in exchange for future considerations. Kennedy, a veteran of 11 NFL seasons that included three consecutive trips to the Pro Bowl (2000-02), signed with the Desperados on Jan. 23, 2007, looking to make his AFL debut.

“Lincoln is a good football player that wanted to play now,” said Head Coach Will McClay. “With how our roster is shaped and how the team is performing, we did not have an opportunity to get him on the field. This trade is a good chance for him to be able to continue his career and show that he still has NFL-caliber ability,” McClay added.

In his first practice, Kennedy fractured a bone in his right hand which slowed him through training camp. The injury landed him on Reserve/Injured for the first four weeks of the AFL season. He was eligible to return to the active roster leading up to the Week Four game against Austin.
