Minnesota Wild Recall Krys Kolanos from Houston Aeros of AHL

HOUSTON, Texas – Minnesota Wild President and General Manager Doug Risebrough today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled center Krys Kolanos from the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL). The Wild have placed right wing Owen Nolan on injured reserve.
Kolanos, 27 (7/27/81), has been recalled for the fourth time this season. Kolanos has recorded 22 points (15-7=22) in 19 games with Houston this season. He leads the team with a +11 rating and four game-winning goals, he ranks second on the Aeros in scoring and is tied for fifth in the AHL in goals. The
Calgary, Alberta, native has collected a goal and two penalty minutes in two games with Minnesota this season. Kolanos was recalled on Nov. 3 and tallied a goal the next night at San Jose in his first NHL game since Dec. 15, 2005. The goal was his first in the NHL since Nov. 3, 2005 vs. Los Angeles. Kolanos has notched 36 points (18-18=36) in 117 career NHL matches with Phoenix, Edmonton and Minnesota.
He was originally selected by the Coyotes in the first round (19th overall) of the 2000 NHL Entry Draft and signed as a free agent by the Wild on July 11, 2008. Kolanos wears No. 39 with the Wild.
