Carolina Hurricanes Recall Forward Jeff Hamilton from AHL Albany River Rats - NHL

MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com - RALEIGH, NC-Jim Rutherford, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has recalled forward Jeff Hamilton from its top minor- league affiliate, the Albany River Rats of the American Hockey League.


Hamilton, 30, was assigned to Albany on Feb. 26, and scored three goals and earned six assists (9 points) in nine games since joining the River Rats. Prior to his assignment to Albany, the Englewood, OH, native notched six goals and earned 13 assists in 52 games with the Hurricanes. Hamilton (5'10", 185 lbs.) is in his seventh professional season, and his first with the Carolina organization. Since completing his collegiate career at Yale in 2001, he has scored 26 goals and earned 40 assists (66 points) in 136 NHL regular- season games with the New York Islanders, Chicago and Carolina. The Hurricanes signed Hamilton as a free agent on July 1, 2007.
