St. Louis Blues Assign John Davidson to AHL Peoria Rivermen
Monday, October 12, 2009 at 02:14AM MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com-ST. LOUIS (October 11, 2009) – St. Louis Blues President John Davidson announced today the club has assigned defenseman Tyson Strachan to the Blues’ American Hockey League affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen.
Strachan, 24, has played in one game this season with Peoria registering five penalty minutes. Last season, the 6-2, 215-pound defenseman made his NHL debut with St. Louis, recording three assists along with 39 penalty minutes in 30 games played. He appeared in 29 games for the Rivermen and registered two goals and three assists along with 67 penalty minutes.
The Melfort, Saskatchewan native was signed by the Blues as a free agent on Oct. 9, 2008 and was originally drafted by Carolina in the fifth round, 137th overall in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.

The next Rivermen game is on Wednesday in Peoria at 7 p.m. when the Rivermen take on the Milwaukee Admirals for the second consecutive game. It is the fourth game of their season-long five-game homestand to start the season.
