AHL Announces Suspensions For Pair of Players
Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at 07:54AM MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com -SPRINGFIELD, Mass. … The American Hockey League today announced that Peoria Rivermen defenseman Tyson Strachan and San Antonio Rampage left wing Ryan Hollweg have each been suspended for two (2) games as a result of their actions in a game between the teams on Nov. 20 at San Antonio.
The players were suspended under the provisions of AHL Rule 29.1 (supplementary discipline) for their role in an altercation following the completion of the game.
Strachan will miss Peoria’s games Wednesday (Nov. 25) vs. Abbotsford and Friday (Nov. 27) vs. Manitoba.
Hollweg will miss San Antonio’s games tonight (Nov. 24) and Saturday (Nov. 28) vs. Milwaukee.
