Bakersfield Condors Reassign Justin Pogge to AHL San Antonio Rampage
Thursday, November 26, 2009 at 02:19AM MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com-Bakersfield, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors, official ECHL affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks, have announced that the Ducks have re-assigned G Justin Pogge to the San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Pogge, 23, has appeared in nine contests with the Condors this season, posting a 6-2-0 record with a 2.69 goals-against average (GAA) and .902 save percentage (SV%). He ranks tied for third in the league in wins (6) and seventh in goals-against average. Pogge has won five out of his last six starts. He has also been recalled by Anaheim twice this season, but did not get in a game.
A native of Fort McMurray, Alberta, Pogge made his NHL debut with Toronto in 2008-09, posting a 1-4-1 record with a 4.36 GAA and .844 SV% in seven appearances. The 6-4, 202-pound goaltender spent the rest of the season with the Maple Leafs' AHL affiliate, the Toronto Marlies, going 26-21-5 with a 2.70 GAA and .895 SV% in 53 appearances.

Originally selected by Toronto in the third round (90th overall) of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, Pogge made his professional debut with the Marlies in 2006-07. In three AHL seasons with Toronto from 2006-09, Pogge went 71-56-11 with seven shutouts, a 2.71 GAA and .899 SV% in 142 career appearances. He was acquired by Anaheim from Toronto in exchange for a conditional selection in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft on Aug. 10, 2009.
