CHARLOTTE, NC. – The Charlotte Checkers announced today that goaltender, Chris Holt has been reassigned to the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League.
So far this season, Holt has played in one game for the Checkers on Oct. 19 where he was victorious during a 5-4 decision over the Columbia Inferno. He faced 27 shots making 23 saves. In six games with the Wolf Pack last year, Holt compiled a 2-1-0 record, with a 2.00 goals-against average and a 91.8 save percentage. During his time with the Checkers last season, Holt played 45 games and managed a record of 24-18-2 with a 3.15 GAA, and 89.9 save percentage with one shutout.
Holt, 6-fooot-3, 225 pounds, was originally drafted by the New York Rangers in the sixth round of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. He played in one NHL contest for the Rangers on Oct. 3, 2005 in relief of Henrik Lundqvist in Washington where he faced two shots and didn’t allow a goal.
