MLN Newswire-www.mlntherawfeed.com-Montreal, Qc.  On Friday night, the ABA Montreal professional basketball team, now under new ownership, took on the Newark Express - and played a really good game prior to being defeated by the score of 105-97.

"We really wanted to win this game, and it actually came very close. It was a two point game for most of the evening," stated Bobby Miller, team captain.  "I thought we put on a great effort for our fans who have stuck by us. We are now ready to begin improving our record."  Shawn Browne led Montreal with 26 points, Bobby Miller had 15.

The team showed a new energy and also showed up in new uniforms too.  Les Creations Ozzie worked very hard so that the players could wear attractive new uniforms which are temporary. A new name and logo will be created, but for now, it's only written "Montreal."  "The public will be able to see the exciting new look at the Jan 19th home game, stated Luc Filiatrault, the team's new owner.
