MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com - Chicago, IL.- The ABA Chicago Rockstars had a tough time playing from behind by double digits through nearly three full quarters before finally closing the gap but falling short to the Sauk Valley Rollers 101-94. The presence of Illinois State Senator Kwame Raoul as 13th man was not enough to energize the Rockstars.
Hot shooting by the opposition once again undid the Rockstars. The offense also seemed out of synch as Imari Sawyer seemed bothered by an ankle injury and only scored 12 points. Sherrick Simpson led the Rockstars with 22 and 8 rebounds but ended up in foul trouble late in the game. The big men led the offensive side of the court with Phil Taylor and Brandon Weiss both going for double figures, but the undersized Rollers were able to out-rebound the Rockstars.
Kenny Williams, head coach, said that the team was improving and he expected them to go on a hot streak "very soon."
