Friday, February 8, 2008 at 01:20PM MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com – MESA, AZ. – The Arizona Rattlers announced two more signings today as the team continued its training camp practices at Gene Autry Park, adding FB/LB JOHN BRONSON (6-3, 275, Penn State) and OL ROB NELSON (6-10, 320, San Diego State) into the mix.
Bronson, who spent three seasons with the Arizona Cardinals, is entering his rookie season in the AFL. With the Cardinals from 2005-07, Bronson played a variety of roles, including fullback and tight end. He played two games in 2006, recording one catch for 25 yards. Bronson was a stand-out at Penn State, playing at defensive end before switching to tight end his senior season.
Nelson, who is also a rookie, was truly a stand-out at San Diego State; measuring six feet, 10 inches, he ranks as the tallest player in Aztec history. He played for Scottsdale Community College after graduating from Skyline High School.
CAMP NOTES: The Rattlers will continue their training camp practices with a double session on Friday and single sessions on Saturday and Monday before scrimmaging Los Angeles on Tuesday at noon. The scrimmage will take place at USAirways Center, and admission is free to any and all who wish to attend.
