Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at 09:46AM MLN - THE RAW FEED - www.mlntherawfeed.com - St. Charles, Mo. - The Wichita Wild won its first United Indoor Football game, holding the RiverCity Rage scoreless in the second half and rallying for a 22-15 victory on Saturday in St. Charles, Mo.
The Wild began its season with five consecutive losses.
On Saturday, Wichita's defense was dominant, limiting the Rage to 67 yards of offense. The defense also provided the first points of the second half, a safety ADVERTISEMENT when linebacker J.R. Weber sacked River City's quarterback in the end zone.
Defensive back Anthony Baldwin had a team-high 10 tackles for Wichita, and Weber had six. Orlandus Williams and Ene Akpan had interceptions.
Wild quarterback Efi Eyo accounted for all three touchdowns, two on short runs and the other a 26-yard pass to Carlos Cavanagh.
