Travis Blanchard of af2 Tennesee Valley Vipers Named JLS Ironman of the Week

MLN - THE RAW FEED - www.mlntherawfeed.com – Huntsville, AL- The af2 has announced that Travis Blanchard has been named the JLS Ironman of the Week for his performance in the Vipers 54-30 over the previously undefeated Florida Firecats on May 17th at the VBC. 

Blanchard had three rushes for 10 yards, and three touchdowns, bringing his season total of rushing touchdowns to 11, which leads the team. He also added a team-high eight tackles, and three pass break-ups. The former Ole-Miss product also leads the team with 490 kick return yards and also returned a missed field goal for a touchdown in the first game of the season against South Georgia.  

Along with his 11 offensive touchdowns, Blanchard has totaled 28.5 tackles, one interception, and is second on the team with 808 all-purpose yards through the first eight games of the season. Blanchard earned All-af2 Second Team honors in 2007 after leading the league with 3,019 all-purpose yards.
