The Slam kept their perfect record perfect beating the Comets in a high
scoring game. The Fusion beat the Chaos. The Phoenix kept their perfect record
perfect with a win over the Crush. The Burn and the Titans had a great close game
with the Burn winning. The Mayhem kept their perfect season perfect beating
the Diamonds. The Karma beat the Renegades and the Outlaws beat the Fury. The
Cyclones beat the Lightning in a close game. The Herricanes beat the Barracudas
and the Nemesis beat the Freeze.

New York Nemesis Still Undefeated!

Old Orchard Beach, ME-The New York Nemesis continued their regular season
dominance with a convincing 58-8 romp over the Maine Freeze in National Women's
Football Association (NWFA) action Saturday night.

Led by record setting QB, Val Halesworth (30-23-376-3-0) co/offensive player
of the game, the Nemesis continued to roll up some impressive offensive
numbers.  The team added 236 yards on the ground led by the other co/offensive
player of the game Ximora Diaz (8-170-4) in addition to her yardage on the ground
she added 3 catches for 45 yards and a kickoff return for 25 yards, capping off
an impressive performance.  Sandy Nesbitt added 57 yards on the ground and a
touchdown on a spectacular, run shedding several tacklers enroute to the end
zone. Newcomer, Nina Yaccovic showed off her offensive abilities when she
hauled in a 68 yard touchdown pass from Halesworth.

The defense was solid again with co/defensive players of the game, Donna
Bruce and Nikia Speed leading the way.  Bruce 11 tackles, 1 assist and a fumble
recovery and Speed 9 Tackles, 2 assists, 1 sack and a forced fumble helped to
neutralize the Freeze offense.  The lone bright spot on the night for the Freeze
was a long scoring run by Penny Durgin to breakup the Nemesis shutout.

The Nemesis, 7-0 conclude their regular season at home, June 21, 2008 at 3:05
PM at SUNY-Maritime, 7 Pennyfield Avenue, Throggs Neck, NY.  The Nemesis will
be attempting to break the all-time single season attendance record for
women's football (6000 fans) and are asking for the communities support in doing so.

Renegade Defense Rocked but Offense Couldn't Roll

The Alabama Renegades offense was stifled by a blitzing Karma defense as
Alabama was defeated Saturday 14-0. The Alabama defense came up with big stops and
created turnovers, and the offense drove the field several times during the
game but was never able to get the ball in the end zone. Kentucky was held
scoreless three out of four innings. Their 14 points came in the second quarter on
a running play and a pass.

The Alabama offense was held to only 176 total yards. Quarterback Nancy Byrd
completed 8 of 23 passes for 97 yards with 3 interceptions.  Tight end Sandra
Kerby was the leading receiver with 5 receptions for 37 yards.  Byrd was also
the leading rusher on offense picking up 58 yards in 13 attempts.  Running
back Rock Phillips rushed for 25 yards in 10 attempts.

The Renegade defense played a great game and held Kentucky to only 14 points.
Outside linebacker Ashley Moody led the defense with 13 total tackles.
Defensive end Tiffany Colbert, outside linebacker Stephanie Palmer, and middle
linebacker Hayley Howard each had 8 total tackles.  Colbert also sacked the Karma
quarterback for a 10 yard loss, and forced and recovered a fumble.  Palmer and
safety Carmelesia Sullivan each picked-off the Kentucky quarterback for
interceptions.

The Renegades will face the Cincinnati Sizzle in Cincinnati for their final
game of the 2008 season this weekend on June 21.  Alabama won the first
match-up with Cincinnati 46-14.

AUSTIN OUTLAWS 5-2 TO TAKE ON OKLAHOMA FOR A WILDCARD PLAYOFF SPOT!!

The Austin Outlaws will host the Oklahoma City Lightning this Saturday, June
21st at 7pm. The Outlaws are 5-2 for the season after a big 41-0 win over the
North Texas Fury this past Saturday.  The game will be held at the Texas
School for the Deaf at 1102 S. Congress in Austin, TX.

The previous game between the Outlaws and the Oklahoma City Lightning took
place in Oklahoma and ended with a 28-22 Outlaw victory. It was the Outlaws’
first win over the Lightning in five seasons. The winner of this second Outlaw –
Lightning game will have a shot at the wildcard playoff spot in the NWFA
Southern Conference. The Outlaws last run in the playoffs came in 2006 and
ultimately ended with a loss to Chattanooga.

This past Saturday the Outlaws racked up another with a 41-0 victory over the
North Texas Fury. The game proved to be a display of the Outlaws consistent
running game, with compliments from an improved passing game. The Outlaws
defense played a great game keeping North Texas from converting very few downs.

ADVERTISEMENT This same defense will be just as important this upcoming weekend in order to
defend the Lightning's equally strong running game.

The Outlaws play in the South Central Division and battle rival teams such as
the Oklahoma City Lightning, H’Town Texas Cyclones (Houston), North Texas
Fury (Dallas) and New Orleans Blaze.

With the help of our Cyclone Fans, the H'Town Texas Cyclones gained control
for a WIN over the OKC Lightning...Final Score HTC 21 / OKC 15.
The OKC Lightning came prepared to play the Cyclones at home, however going
into half-time with 8-7 lead HTC dominated the 2nd half of the game.

It has been an exciting year for the Minnesota Vixen(tm).  With only two
games left in the 2008 Season, the Vixen have a lock on the Wild Card spot in the
2008 Playoffs; they also have a chance of taking the Division Championship by
beating the West Michigan Mayhem at home on June 21st.

TRYOUT DATES SCHEDULED!

Fort Worth, TX - The Lone Star Mustangs, an NWFA expansion team for the 2009
Season, is pleased to announce the team's tryout schedule.

Tryouts will be held Saturday, June 21st in Carrollton. For convenience,
registration for the Saturday, June 21st tryouts in Carrollton will begin at
8:30am. Please call the Lone Star Mustangs for location and directions.
The tryouts are open to all women age 18 and older. No football experience Is
necessary. Those interested in physical fitness and improving their skills
are encouraged to attend. Participants should wear workout clothes, bring a
water bottle, photo ID, a copy of your current health insurance, and registration
fee of $55 (cash or check only). Those interested in non-sport, support
positions are also welcome. We need assistant football coaches, dance coaches,
dancers, and volunteers!
