Haglund had his most impressive af2 campaign in 2006 when he was named New Balance Kicker of the Year. That year he led all kickers in scoring with 146 points, a total that ranks third all time for points by a kicker in a season.

After missing a second quarter extra point in a Week 6 game against the Tulsa Talons on May 6, Haglund connected on 69 straight extra points. His streak lasted 10 weeks until a third quarter extra point was blocked in Week 16 against Arkansas. Haglund also had the best season for point after accuracy in af2 history, converting on 93.5 percent (116-124) of his point after attempts. The former Central Oklahoma Broncho also excelled on kickoffs, recording 23 touchbacks in 2006.
