Odessa Roughnecks Win 67-33 over Frisco Thunder - IFL

MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com - ODESSA, Tex. (July 5, 2008) -- Dennis Gile threw for 195 yards and five touchdowns as the Odessa Roughnecks defeated the Frisco Thunder 67-33 in the opening round of the Intense Football League playoffs Saturday night.

Odessa (8-7) will face either Louisiana or Corpus Christi in the semifinals the weekend of July 19-21. Frisco's season ends at 6-9.
 
The Thunder took a 13-7 lead on Dixie Wooten's 1-yard keeper with 13:46 remaining in the second quarter, but Odessa scored the next 36 points to take control.$
 
Don Robinson caught eight passes for 98 yards and three of Gile's touchdown passes.

Kevin Lenford scored two second-half touchdowns for Frisco on a 50-yard interception return and a 47-yard kickoff return. Wooten finished 11 of 18 for 109 yards and a touchdown to Marcus Stiggers in addition to a pair of 1-yard keepers.
