Austin Outlaws Holding Tryouts - Let's See What Ya Got - NWFA
MLN Newswire –mlntherawfeed.com - The Austin Outlaws Women's Football Team will kick off their 2008 preseason by hosting open tryouts for the upcoming season on October 13th and 14th.
All women over the age of 18 who are interested in playing football are invited to attend. "We're looking for women who've always wanted to play and who are willing to put forth the effort to go bring home a Championship in 2008," says General Manager Lily Messina.
Tryouts will be held at Kealing Junior High located at 1607 Pennsylvania. Registration begins promptly each day at 9:30am and will include a $35 registration fee. Proof of insurance as well as proof of age will also be required. The Outlaws are looking for women of all shapes and sizes to help fill in positions on offense, defense, and special teams. No experience is necessary to tryout. Although tryouts will occur on both Saturday and Sunday, those interested in trying out need to attend at least one day over the weekend.
The Outlaws ended their 2007 season with 5 wins and 3 losses, barely missing a wildcard playoff spot by 21 points. "Last year was a good year for us and we did some great things, but we barely missed playoffs and we're itching to redeem ourselves. We're very excited about our ability to build on last season with an even better year" adds Messina.
