MLN - THE RAW FEED - www.mlntherawfeed.com - CAMDEN, NJ- The Camden Riversharks (8-2) defeated the Newark Bears (4-5) Sunday 6-5 and took the series 2-1. Camden has won each of its first three series and stands alone on top of the Atlantic League’s Liberty Division.
The Sharks won in spite of a shaky start from righthander Ryan Drese. Drese gave up 11 hits and three earned runs in four innings.
The Bears posted two runs in the first off righthander Will Cunnane. Third baseman Mike Just scored on a fielder’s choice. Later, centerfielder Brian Burgamy hit an RBI single to right, making it 2-0.
The Sharks took one run back in the second and control of the game in the third with four more runs. First baseman Brett Bonvechio tripled to right-center with two on. 
ADVERTISEMENT Third baseman Richard Lewis pushed Bonvechio home with an RBI single to left, and catcher Randy McGarvey sent Lewis home on a sac fly.
Cunnane gave up five earned runs on eight hits over five innings before being pulled.
The Bears fought back and scored three in the fifth. Drese loaded the bases and gave up an RBI single to designated hitter Gerard Haran. He was relieved by righty Julio Guerrero, who gave up a walk for the second run of the inning and a sac fly for the third.
The score was 5-5 going into the seventh. Shortstop Gabe Suarez led off with a triple to right and scored on a wild pitch by Newark righthander JJ Trujillo, who collected the loss for the night.
Guerrero grabbed the win for Camden after throwing four innings of no-hit ball.
The Riversharks head to Lancaster tomorrow for a three game series with the Barnstormers. Camden went 8-2 over a 10 game homestand.
