Fort Worth Cats Defeat the Shreveport Sports 3-2 Despite Complete Game from Justin Phillips

MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com – Shreveport Sports lefthander Justin Phillips went the distance for the third time this year, but it wasn’t enough as Fort Worth defeated the Sports 3-2 at Fair Grounds Field Monday.  Phillips retired the final 14 batters he faced, but suffered his fifth loss of the season.  The Sports two runs came in the seventh inning on a two-out double by Bobby Bratton.  However, that was after Fort Worth had taken a 3-0 lead.  It was the fourth time in four games that the Cats have defeated the Sports this season.  Shreveport and Fort Worth will meet again Tuesday at Fair Grounds Field.  Game time will be 7:05 with the broadcast on AM 1130, KWKH.
