Outfielder Terrence McCLain of Shreveport Sports Named American Association Batter of the Week
Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at 09:22AM MLN - THE RAW FEED - www.mlntherawfeed.com - SHREVEPORT, La. - Although he has only played four games with the Shreveport Sports, outfielder Terrence McClain has been named American Association Batter of the Week by PA-Sportsticker, the official statistician of the league.
In four games with the Sports, 
ADVERTISEMENT McClain has seven hits in 14 at bats with two home runs and eight RBI’s.
McClain joined the Sports last Thursday from Southern Maryland of the Atlantic League where he started the season. The 28-year old righthanded hitter from Paris, Tennessee is currently in his fourth year of professional baseball, all in the independent leagues. He split time with Evansville of the Frontier League and Fullerton of the Golden League in 2005. In 2006 and 2007 he played at Edmonton of the Northern League and spent his first year at Edmonton under current Shreveport manager Terry Bevington.
