Travis Kane turned in a dominating performance as Sioux Falls notched their third straight win over St. Paul by a score of 3-1.  3B Grant Richardson doubled and hit his fifth long ball of the year to lead the Canaries offense which registered only three hits off Saints starter Justin Lord.  Lord went eight solid innings but was outdone by Kane who struck out 10 in 8 1/3 innings before turning the game over to closer Kris Regas. Regas recorded the final two outs for his 15th save of the season. 2B Andrew Bennett drove in St. Paul’s lone run in the ninth inning and finished 1-for-4.

Grand Prairie 13, Lincoln 2

HR: GP- Andrew Holder (4), Derek Nicholson (4), JB Tucker (6); LIN- Dustin Yount (7)
Leading 3-2 after two innings, Grand Prairie erupted for 10 runs in the middle innings to cruise past Lincoln 13-2.  Justin Garcia worked six innings and struck out six to up his mark to 5-2 on the season while Jarrett Gardner completed just 4 1/3 innings in which he allowed eight earned runs on 12 hits.  DH Derek Nicholson and CF Andrew Holder both had big games for the AirHogs as they combined to go 6-for-10 from the plate with four runs scored and RBI. Both men homered in the contest as did C JB Tucker.  2B Noel Trevino contributed offensively as well with a double, a run scored, and three RBI.

Shreveport 9, Pensacola 5
@ Shreveport, LA.  Time: 2:26  Attendance: 2,637

HR: SHR- Bobby Bratton (4), Terrence McClain (3)
Shreveport’s offense roughed up Pensacola starter Zach Cline for nine earned runs in the first four innings as the Sports beat the Pelicans 9-5.  Thad Markray went seven innings and allowed just one earned run to improve to 5-3.  LF Terrence McClain powered the Sports attack as he belted a three run homer in the third inning to put the Sports ahead 5-0.  He would finish 2-for-4 with two runs scored and five RBI.  3B Bobby Bratton continued the hit parade in the fourth inning as he led off with his fourth long ball of the year.  SS Dallas Christison  turned in a solid performance for Pensacola as he had three hits in five at-bats and drove in two.

Wichita 9, Sioux City 7

Wichita rallied from an early 4-0 hole and then held on to beat Sioux City 9-7.  The Explorers used a bases-loaded double by 3B Juan Camacho and a RBI triple by LF Chad Gabriel to build a 4-0 advantage in the first inning.  Down 5-2 in the fifth inning the Wingnuts used five hits to score four runs and took the lead 6-5. After Sioux City tied it at six, Wichita went ahead for good in the seventh inning when 3B Michael Thompson belted a three run homer to right field.  1B Steve Pearson and 2B Brenan Herrera gave Sioux City problems the entire game as they combined to go 7-for-8 with three runs scored and three RBI. Neither starting pitcher figured in the decision
