Quebec rallied from an early 3-0 deficit with five runs in the second inning and five more in the fifth to cruise past Atlantic City 12-5.  The Capitales received offensive contributions from up and down their lineup. Six different batters drove in at least one run and five men had multi-hit games. C Pat D’Aoust finished 2-for-3 with a run scored and four RBI while 1B Eddie Lantigua went 3-for-4 and scored three times. Atlantic City DH Clyde Williams hit his sixth homer of the year as he went 2-for-5 with a run scored and three RBI. Capitales starter Michel Simard allowed all five Surf runs but with more than enough run support improved to 7-1 on the year.

New Jersey 5, Worcester 2

HR: NJ- Luke Allen (4), Chris Kelly (9), Matt Lauderdale (4)
New Jersey DH Luke Allen and 3B Chris Kelly hit back to back solo homers in the first inning and the Jackals never trailed in a 5-2 win over Worcester. Allen also had a triple in the contest and finished 3-for-4 with two RBI. C Matt Lauderdale got in on the act in the seventh inning with a solo homer of his own to round out the scoring for the Jackals. Aaron Tressler pitched 6 1/3 innings and struck out six while allowing five hits as he improved to 2-4. Rusty Tucker was dominant out of the bullpen as he struck out all three men he faced in the ninth inning to collect his 13th save of the season.

HR: None
Nashua got a solid outing from starter Isaac Burkett and big performances from 2B Ismael Castro and CF Vinny Pennell to down Ottawa 5-2. Burkett went six innings and struck out three while allowing three hits and only one earned run.  He improved his record to 1-2 with the victory. Castro went 2-for-3 with two doubles, three RBI and two runs scored. Pennell went 2-for-3 as well and drove in a run. Andrew Weimer worked the ninth inning and picked up his 12th save of the season. Ottawa C Kyle Geiger finished the game a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate.

In his first game with Brockton, Dennis Abreu’s RBI single in the bottom of the fifth inning was the game winner as the Rox beat Sussex 2-1. After allowing four hits in the first two innings including a solo home run to Skyhawks RF Jorge Moreno, John Kelly settled down and gave up just two additional hits in the next four innings. He evened his record at 4-4 with the win. CF Ron Perodin and LF Alex Frazier each had two hits for the Skyhawks. Sussex left 11 runners on base in the contest.
