New Jersey 6, Quebec 4

1B Luke Allen and SS Bryant Nelson each homered and combined for four RBI as New Jersey downed Quebec 6-4. Nelson got things started in the bottom of the first inning with a two-run home run that put the Jackals up 2-0. Leading 3-2 in the sixth inning, Allen hit a solo shot to regain a two run advantage before the Capitales scored two unearned runs in the top of the seventh to tie the game 4-4. In the bottom of the eighth C Matt Lauderdale doubled and Allen singled him home to give New Jersey the lead for good. The Jackals added another run in the inning and brought Rusty Tucker on to close, leading 6-4. He faced the minimum three batters and earned his 15th save. Justin Barnes got the win in relief and is now 3-0. Quebec reliever Ivan Blanco allowed both eighth inning runs and took the loss.

Atlantic City used two big innings and a solid effort from starter Brian Rodaway to top Ottawa 9-4. Rodaway went seven innings and allowed four runs on six hits to improve to 6-5. He got more than enough run support as his teammates scored three runs in the third inning and five in the sixth and finished with 18 hits, including seven doubles. LF Joe Burke and 3B Gil Zayas turned in great performances as they each had three hits and combined to drive in four runs. 2B Brad Thoma drove in three runs and CF Lucas Taylor went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI. Ottawa CF Pete Pirman hit his fourth home run of the season in defeat.

Brockton starter Stevie Delabar gave his team eight strong innings and allowed just one run on six hits as the Rox got past Nashua 2-1. Hideki Nagasaka pitched well for the Pride going seven innings and surrendering two runs on seven hits. The hard luck loser, he fell to 6-3. 3B Phillip Cuadrado went 2-for-3 with a run scored to lead the Rox offense while 3B Aregenis Tavarez went 3-for-4 with an RBI for Nashua. No other player in the game had more than one hit. Jerry Dunn pitched the ninth and collected his 13th save.

Sussex 9, Worcester 0 (Suspended / Bottom 4)

The game between Sussex and Worcester was suspended in the bottom of the fourth inning with the Skyhawks leading 9-0. The completion of the suspended game followed by the regularly scheduled game will begin tomorrow at 11AM. The regularly scheduled game will be seven innings.
