John Kelly Fans 11 in Brockton Rox 5-2 Win Over Nashua Pride

tied his season-high with 11 strikeouts as he scattered five hits
over eight innings and allowed two runs (one earned) en route to a 5-2 win for
the Rox over the Nashua Pride on Wednesday afternoon at Campanelli Stadium.
1B Jason Colson picked up a home
run and a double and scored twice in the victory.
Kelly dueled throughout the game with
Colson led off the bottom of the fourth inning with his
seventh home run to tie the game at 1-1. Two innings later, he doubled with the
bases empty and two outs and moved up to third on an error. He scored two
pitches later on a wild pitch by Stevens to give the Rox a 2-1
lead.
RHP Jerry Dunn
recorded his 14th save of the season, facing four
batters in the ninth. Kelly has won three of his last four, and the Rox are on
a season-high five-game winning streak.
