MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com - CRESTWOOD, IL-The Windy City Thunderbolts edged the Grizzlies 3-2 Friday night in game one of a three-game series at Standard Bank Stadium. The loss moves Windy City (23-20) one full game ahead of the Grizzlies (22-21) in first place in the Frontier League West Division.

Mike Coles put the Thunderbolts up 1-0 with a solo home run in the first inning. They would go up 2-0 before the Grizzlies answered in the sixth inning. Chris Pecora singled with one out in the inning then scored on a double by Ryne Malone. Windy City added an insurance run off Grizzlies reliever Eric Ridener in the bottom of the eighth to go up 3-1.
