Sioux Falls Canaries 2B Patrick Reilly Given Honor from Cosmopolitan Magazine

MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com-Sioux FallsSD:   Patrick Reilly, who has manned first base for the past two seasons for the Sioux Falls Canaries, has been recognized by Cosmopolitan magazine as South Dakota’s hottest bachelor. In the magazine’s annual roundup of hottest bachelors from each state, Reilly, a Sparks, NV native is South Dakota’s representative in the Hottest Bachelors of 2009 contest.

Early in the summer, the Sioux Falls Canaries were contacted and asked to submit photos and completed questionnaires from players on their roster.   A graduate of the University of Arizona, Reilly played baseball for the Wildcats before signing with the California Angels organization. In the Canaries championship season of 2008, Reilly hit .287 with 13 home runs and 59 RBI.

The 6’0”, 205 lb lefty drove in the winning run of the 2008 American Association Championship Series when the Birds edged the Grand Prairie Airhogs 5-4 in Game 4.

“It’s quite an honor for Pat,” said Canaries President John Kuhn.  “We did notice that there seemed to be more young ladies than ever hanging around the seats behind first base this year—I guess we know why.”
