MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com - BOSTON, MA-The Boston Red Sox begin their 15th year of spring training camp in Fort Myers, Florida, one month from today on Sunday, February 18 with the first workout for pitchers and catchers at the club’s Player Development Complex. The first full squad workout is scheduled for Thursday, February 22.

Tickets for 2007 Red Sox spring training home games at the City of Palms Park in Fort Myers, Florida are now on sale and can be purchased online at redsox.com, via touchtone phone at (617-482-4SOX), or at the City of Palms Park box office. Accessible seats can be purchased by calling 239-334-4700. The TTY number is (617) 226-6644.

Single game tickets remain for most games on the 2007 schedule. In addition, the popular “Spring Pax” (two different 3-game packages) are again available in 2007. The “Opening Week” Spring Pax conveniently includes home games which are scheduled during the first week of spring training in early March. There are two different packages available:

Spring Pack 1 includes games against the Minnesota Twins on February 28, the Northeastern University Huskies on March 1, and the Los Angeles Dodgers on March 5.

Spring Pack 2 includes games against the Boston College Eagles on March 2, the Philadelphia Phillies on March 3, and the New York Mets on March 7.

The Red Sox also announced today that several special activities have been added for the 6:05 p.m. game with Boston College on Friday, March 2. It will be “Family-Friendly Friday” as a post-game fireworks show will follow the game. Youngsters will be able to run the bases after the game and several young fans will be selected to work on the ground crew for that contest.

Ticket prices for home spring training games remain the same for the third consecutive year. That includes standing room, which has been expanded to include locations in the new Right Field Deck area. There will also be new concession options that all fans will be able to access in this location.

The City of Palms Park Box office is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Prior to the start of the exhibition season, the Red Sox will hold workouts from February 18-27 at the team’s Player Development Complex, which is located at 4301 Edison Avenue in Fort Myers . All workouts are open to the public free of charge. THERE IS NO PUBLIC PARKING at the Player Development Complex. Free parking is available at City of Palms Park. Continuous shuttles will run between City of Palms Park and the Player Development Complex beginning one hour prior to the start of each day’s workout until one hour after the completion of the workout. The cost of the roundtrip shuttle ticket is $2.00 per person with youngsters five and under free of charge.
