Tacoma Rainiers Topple Omaha Royals in PCL Exhibition
Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at 09:35AM MLN - THE RAW FEED - www.mlntherawfeed.com - PEORIA, AZ – The Tacoma Rainiers scored four runs in the first inning and went on to hand the Omaha Royals a 7-3 defeat Monday in Peoria, Arizona. The loss dropped Omaha’s Cactus League record to 2-2.
Royals lefty Tyler Lumsden started and surrendered the four runs in the bottom of the first, but bounced back to blank the Rainiers over the next two innings. On the day, Lumsden allowed four hits and three walks, striking out two.
Southpaw Anthony Bradley followed Lumsden to the mound and hurled two scoreless innings, giving up a pair of hits and a walk, while fanning one batter.

ADVERTISEMENT Royals right fielder Brian McFall plated Omaha’s first run with an RBI double in the second inning. The only other O-Royal to collect an RBI was third baseman Juan Richardson, who lifted a sacrifice fly in the ninth. The Royals’ other run in the ninth scored on a Tacoma error.
The Royals meet the Oklahoma RedHawks on Tuesday at the Spring Training facility shared by the Kansas City Royals and Texas Rangers in Surprise, Arizona.
