Rochester Red Wings Defeat the Indianapolis Indians 8-5 in Spring Training Action

MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com – FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Rochester scored a pair of runs in four different innings to post an 8-5 victory over Indianapolis Tuesday afternoon at the Lee County Sports Complex.

CF Andrew McCutchen blasted a three-run homer to give the Indians an early advantage in the third, but SS Alejandro Machado responded by smashing a two-run roundtripper to put the Red Wings ahead for good in the fourth.
McCutchen (2-for-3), DH Jose Macias (2-for-3) and LF Jorge Cortes (2-for-4) all had multi-hit games for the Tribe.  SS Brian Bixler, 3B Neil Walker and RF Steve Pearce, who were optioned to Indianapolis on Monday, also played in the exhibition affair.
Rochester RHP Juan Rincon, who has pitched in 348 Major League games over the past five seasons, worked the fifth inning for the win.  Indians RHP Alexis Sosa allowed four earned runs in two innings and suffered the loss.
