Northwest Arkansas Naturals Edge San Antonio Missions 6-5 - AA, Texas League
Sunday, March 23, 2008 at 10:50AM MLN - THE RAW FEED - www.mlntherawfeed.com - PEORIA, AZ – A back and forth affair ended with the Northwest Arkansas Naturals edging the San Antonio Missions, the San Diego Padres’ Double-A club by a 6-5 margin.
Right fielder Brian McFall went 2-for-4 with a homer and two runs scored, but it was Kila Kaaihue (2-for-4) whose eighth inning single scored Mario Lisson to break the 5-5 tie. Infielders Brad McCann and Ed Lucas also had two hits for the Naturals, who upped their spring record to 5-3.
Carlos Rosa started for the Naturals, allowing five hits and three runs (two earned) while striking out two in 4 2/3 innings of work. Jason Cromer allowed two runs in 2 1/3 innings of relief of Rosa , but Mike Connolly picked up the save with two scoreless frames after the Naturals pulled ahead in the top of the eighth.
