Northwest Arkansas Naturals Ready for Home Opener - AA, Texas League

MLN - THE RAW FEED - www.mlntherawfeed.com - SPRINGDALE, Ark. - The rain has cleared and the stage is set for Opening Night at Arvest Ballpark, the first game of a six game homestand here in Springdale.  First up are three games against the San Antonio Missions, the San Diego Padres’ Double-A entry.  
 
The Naturals opened up their season in San Antonio against these same Missions last week, dropping two of three to start their Inaugural Campaign.  Some of these members of the Missions toasted the champagne, Texas League style, as they won the 2007 Texas League Championship, and the Missions’ roster includes no fewer than three of the Padres’ top prospects, so the Naturals will have their hands full in their opening series.  Their second series pits them against Corpus Christi, the Houston Astros’ Double-A affiliate, who also took two of three from Northwest Arkansas on the season-opening road trip.
 
Off the field, the Naturals accommodate with great promotions during the balance of
ADVERTISEMENT the homestand.  Friday night is the debut of our fridaynightbash™, sponsored by Farm Rich, which includes Post-Game Fireworks, pre-game entertainment courtesy of Stone Manor Condominiums, and a special appearance from Jake the Diamond Dog!  Friday is also Northwest Arkansas Community College Affiliation Night, and the 7:30 P.M. start offers all area students with valid school ID the chance to get $1 off a reserved or lawn seat ticket at our box office!  Kix 104 will be on hand prior to the game broadcasting live outside the ballpark.
 
Saturday night, AIG presents the first 5,000 fans with a handy Naturals magnet schedule.  Jake the Diamond Dog returns for an encore performance, and Power 105.7 will be on hand broadcasting live before the game outside the front gates.  Game time is 7:00 P.M.
 
Sunday afternoon begins the series with Corpus Christi and is the first Family Sunday presented by Nickelodeon and Viacom Consumer Products and Magic 107.9.  Game time is 4 P.M, and kids run the bases after the game!  It’s also Baseball America day at the ballpark, and the first 1,000 fans will receive a copy of this month’s edition of Baseball America.
 
Monday Night Lights presented by Ozarks Electric Cooperative Corporation, Sam98, Y94, and the Morning News offers fans the chance to bring in their Ozarks Electric bill for $1 off of a Premium, Reserved, or Subway Berm ticket at the ticket window.  The first 500 fans will also be offered a bingo card with the chance to win a prize from the Morning News and the Naturals.  The fun begins at 7:00 P.M.
 
Arvest Customer Appreciation Night on Tuesday night wraps up the first homestand.  All Arvest customers presenting a bill, credit card, or debit card at the box office window receive $2 off their Premium, Reserved, or Subway Berm ticket, and 93.3 The Eagle will broadcast live before the game.  The fun begins at 7:00 P.M.
