Round Rock Express Defeat New Orleans Zephyrs 7-6 - PCL

MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com - Game Keys: Round Rock shortstop Danny Klassen drilled a three run  walk off home run on Monday night to cap a four run inning to give  the Express a 7-6 win over the Zephyrs. Ivan Maldonado entered the  game in the ninth inning with a three run lead and proceeded to  allow three hits and set the stage for the late heroics. Klassen  hit the home run off of reliever Nate Field with two outs in the  bottom of the ninth to salvage the split. Maldonado suffers his  second blown save of the weekend against the Express. Fernando  Tatis drove home a couple of runs for the Z’s in the game hitting  his fifth home run of the season. Z’s starter Tony Armas pitched  six solid innings striking out six batters and allowed five hits.  The Zephyrs split the series in Round Rock and head home to begin a  four game series with the Iowa Cubs.

Game Notes: The Zephyrs pitching staff started the day tops in the  PCL with a 3.07 ERA. Chris Aguilia is fifth in the league in  hitting batting .452 entering play on Monday. Argenis Reyes is  second in the PCL with four stolen bases. Pitcher Duaner Sanchez on  a rehab assignment with the Zephyrs will be activated by the Mets on  Tuesday and New York will have to make a corresponding move.
