Frederick Keys Blow Four-Run Lead to Winston-Salem Warthogs, Who Win 9-4

MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com – The Frederick Keys lost a 4-0 lead early as Winston-Salem stunned the Keys with a six-run third inning as the series evened at a game apiece in a 9-4 loss. The six-run inning sent ten men to the plate and forced Keys starter Jake Renshaw (2-1) from the game after three innings.

The Keys got off to a great start though. The first four batters reached to open the ballgame as Frederick quickly jumped ahead 3-0. They would tag a fourth run on in the third inning when 1B Chris Vinyard singled home a run.

But then the wheels came off. The Warthogs who had not scored more than five runs in a game all year exploded for their big third inning.
