New Orleans Zephyrs Pound Round Rock Express 11-5 - AAA, Pacific Coast League

MLN - THE RAW FEED - www.mlntherawfeed.com - NEW ORLEANS - The New Orleans Zephyrs have taken a liking to Round Rock pitching.
After having their most successful offensive series in Round Rock two weeks ago, the Zephyrs recorded a new season high by scoring 11 runs and tied their previous best with 14 hits in a 11-5 rout of the Express on Thursday night.
The Zephyrs stormed out of the gate, scoring five times off Round Rock starter
ADVERTISEMENT Runelvys Hernandez in the first inning, and had four extra-base hits in a span of five at-bats. Caleb Stewart, Jesus Feliciano and Mike Nickeas delivered RBI doubles, and Chris Aguila had a two-run triple.
Stewart added a two-run homer in the fourth inning, and Aguila tacked on a two-run shot of his own in the sixth as the Z's built a 11-1 lead.
New Orleans left-hander Adam Bostick went six innings, and allowed one run on just two hits with three strikeouts and three walks to improve to 2-1. Hernandez took the loss after allowing nine runs on 11 hits in 3.1 innings.
Game two of the series is Friday night at 7:00 p.m.
