Colorado Springs Sky Sox Defeat Sacramento River Cats 12-3 - PCL

MLN Newswire - MLNtherawfeed.com - A nine run sixth inning powered the Colorado Springs Sky Sox past Sacramento, 12-3, ending their five-game home losing streak on Friday evening at Security Service Field in front of 2,539.

The Sky Sox battered relief pitcher Brad Kilby (1-2)when he entered a tied ball game to begin the sixth inning. The first six Sky Sox batters reached base, and five of them crossed the plate before the Sacramento reliever recorded his first out. Sacramento’s Jesus Silva did little to stop the Sky Sox hit parade when he relieved Kilby with two outs in the inning. Edwin Bellorin greeted him with a two- run single before a walk to Joe Koshansky on the next at-bat set the table for Sean Barker’s three-run home run that capped the scoring for the evening.

Josh Towers pitched seven innings of three-run baseball to improve his record to 2-1.
