Tacoma lineup had at least 1 hit, with 6 different players
scoring 1 run, and 6 players driving in one. Jeff Clement
has hit safely in 16 of 20 games this season, batting .368
(25x68) with 16 runs scored, 6 doubles, 5 home runs and
17 RBI. He currently ranks T3rd in on-base percentage
(.494) and 10th in average (.368) in the PCL. Rob Johnson
extended his hit streak to 6 games, batting .304 (7x23).
After hitting .053 (1x19) in his first 6 games, Tuiasosopo
has hit safely in 12 of his last 13 games. During this stretch
he is batting .333 (17x51) with 10 runs scored, 7 extra-base

Of Note: It's rare to see a team score 10 runs in 1 inning.
It's even more rare to see a score 10 runs in 1 inning all
with 2 outs. That's precisely what the Mavs did in the 1st
inning during their 13-8 win over Bakersfield Friday night.
Bakersfield starter Zach Phillips struck out the 1st 2 batters
he faced before he walked Johan Limonta. Phillips would
not retire any of the next 11 batters he faced. The rally was
highlighted by a 3-run homer by Chris Minaker and a 2-run
double by Ogui Diaz. The Mavs totaled 8 RBI with 2 outs
during the rally. Alfredo Venegas earned his 1st California
League win in his 3rd career start with the Mavs. He
pitched 5.1 innings, surrendering only 1 earned run on 7
hits. Carlos Peguero has hit safely in 8 of his last 9 games,
batting .400 (15x35). Johan Limonta has recorded 5 hits in

was rained out. A doubleheader is scheduled for today.
Ron Garth currently has a 4-game hit streak, batting .333
(5x15). Shawn Kelley has not allowed a run in his first 5
appearances (4.2 IP). He has limit opponents to a .133
(2x15) while walking 1 and striking out 7. Danny Carroll
was placed on the 7-day DL on Wednesday, after fracturing
his 2nd and 3rd metacarpal on his left hand.

Today’s probable starter:
TBA vs. Beloit
