Rain Postpones Birmingham Barons-Tennessee Smokies, Forces Twinbill
Saturday, April 5, 2008 at 08:17AM MLN - THE RAW FEED - www.mlntherawfeed.com - BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Birmingham Barons' game on 4/4 vs. the Tennessee Smokies has been postponed due to rain. It will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Saturday, April 5. The first game will start at 5 pm, and the second will start about 20 minutes after the first game has concluded.
In game one, RHP Kyle McCulloch (Barons) and RHP Mitch Atkins (Smokies) will square 
ADVERTISEMENT off. In the second game, a long-time football rivalry gets renewed on the diamond as former Michigan backup quarterback Clayton Richard (LHP) will start for the Barons, and former Notre Dame wide receiver Jeff Samardzija (RHP) will start for the Smokies.
