Altoona Curve Game Highlights and Box Score - AA, Eastern League

MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com - Harrisburg - 6  Altoona - 2  Box Score attached. - The Harrisburg Senators bunted their way to a lead and blasted off for insurance runs late in a 6-2 road triumph over the Altoona Curve on Wednesday morning. OF Roger Bernadina homered, stole two bases, scored three times and drove in a pair.

Harrisburg finished the month of April with a 16-9 record, their third straight winning month dating back to August 2007. It was their best month since June 2006, when Harrisburg went 16-9.

With a runner at first in the 4th inning, William Bergolla beat out a bunt single. Bernadina laid down another bunt, but the throw from the pitcher to first base was wild and both runners came around to score. Justin Maxwell followed with an RBI single to plate Bernadina and extend the lead to 3-0.

The Curve closed it to 4-2 after seven innings, but Bernadina ripped a home run to lead off the 8th and make it 5-2. Bernadina pushed the lead to 6-2 in the top of the 9th with a two-out RBI single.

Australia resident RHP Tristan Crawford (1-0) picked up his first win in the Nationals system, going 5 IP and allowing just 1ER. He retired 15 Curve hitters: eleven by flyout, four by strikeout.

Curve starter and fellow Australian RHP Josh Hill took the loss. His record is 2-2 as the Curve fell to 10-15.
