Thursday, May 1, 2008 at 10:06AM MLN - THE RAW FEED - www.mlntherawfeed.com - CLINTON, Iowa - The Great Lakes Loons completed a winless six-game roadtrip Wednesday night, dropping their six straight game and their third straight to the Clinton LumberKings by a score of 6-4.
The middle of the LumberKing lineup led the way as Clinton’s 2-6 hitters pitched in with two hits apiece.
Geison Aguasviva (1-2) started for the Loons and surrendered all six runs to record his second loss of the season. Thomas Melgarejo hurled four scoreless innings of relief.
Jaime Ortiz hit a solo homer in the sixth inning, his fourth of the season. Ortiz is now tied with catcher Kenley Jansen for the team lead in home runs (4).
The Loons fall to 4-11 on the road to go with their 7-3 home record in 2008.
